Goddess on the mountain top, Burning like a silver flame, The summit of beauty and love, And Venus was her name :) She's got it, yeah baby, she's got it....everything but a family that is :( If you haven't met Venus yet please allow me to introduce you to our Goddess of Love. Venus is 6 years old, full of wisdom that comes with age and also plenty of the energy of the youthful (just don't expect her to be like that all the time, she does like her naps). Venus has been with us for a very long time. She was adopted and went home to a family with small children, at this time it was noted that Venus has typical rottie guarding issues. She would be best served by a family with no young children. Other than her little guarding issue Venus is a dream. She is housetrained. She is super smart. She knows commands such as sit, down, paw and stay. She could easily be taught more as she is indeed treat motivated. If you are looking for a girl to add some spark to your life and stay by your side unconditionally please consider coming to VBAC&AC (341 S Birdneck Rd) and seeing if maybe this goddess of love can make your heart go pitter patter all the way to the adoption desk
Please note - Venus would do best in a home without children. She does have a few issues with guarding (food/toys). In order for her to thrive in a great home, please take this into consideration. We want her to succeed! With some work from a trainer, this behavior can be extinguished. Venus is gentle otherwise and walks very well on a leash. If you are willing to invest some time with her, Venus will be a wonderful, loyal companion. Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center has wonderful pets available for adoption. As of December 6, all animals are now at the new shelter at 341 Birdneck Road. The former shelter on Leroy Drive is now closed. If you have lost a pet, please visit the shelter in person and often as lost animals arrive everyday. Other Pictures of 1210-1424 Venus (click to see larger version):
