Apollo is a handsome, young, playful Rottweiler who already knows his basic commands. He will sit, give you paw and lay down as soon as he is told to. He is a great boy but protective of his food bowls so he would be best in a home with no small children. He walks pretty well on a leash but can be head strong and likes to do things his way, like many other young pups. Apollo would do best with an owner who has experience with the breed. He is pretty unsettled in the shelter and really needs a home to make him happy. Anyone who knows this breed knows that Rottweilers do not like to be locked up for long periods of time. They want to be with their people. If you think you have what Apollo needs to be his person, visit him at the shelter today. Please ask a caretaker to show you Apollo and see him for yourself.

Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center has wonderful pets available for adoption.  As of December 6, all animals are now at the new shelter at 341 Birdneck Road.  The former shelter on Leroy Drive is now closed.  If you have lost a pet, please visit the shelter in person and often as lost animals arrive everyday.
