Miss momma dog no more came to us in August, and has been the smile in our days since.  Nikki is a mellow young lady that rides low to the ground. She has the warmest eyes that tell love stories and bring warmth to your heart. She loves nothing more than your touch and the one on one time to feel the warmth of a human close to her. Nikki walks great on a leash, and likes to be lady like and potty outside. She loves soft blankeys to rest her cute little hiney on, and lets out a sigh of comfort and relief and when finally gets to plop down on one! She is absolutely precious, she sits alert like a statue and wiggles like a puppy, but prances along like the wise momma dog that she is. Nikki makes good judgments, she is dog friendly and will make a child’s best friend. She is clever and understanding and has one job—to please YOU, to be your heart dog, to make your day better than the day before. Adopting Nikki will hands down, make your life better, your heart warmer, your home cozier. Please consider this sweet heart, and all that she offers to your family.

Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center has wonderful pets available for adoption.  As of December 6, all animals are now at the new shelter at 341 Birdneck Road.  The former shelter on Leroy Drive is now closed.  If you have lost a pet, please visit the shelter in person and often as lost animals arrive everyday.
