Friends of Virginia Beach Animal Control

PatrioticFlyer2009

adopt_logosmallThe Friends of Virginia Beach Animal Control was founded by caring and concerned citizens of Virginia Beach who want to help the animals in our municipal shelter. Each year, the City of Virginia Beach takes thousands of unwanted, stray, surrendered or animals seized in enforcement actions into the municipal animal shelter.  Many of these animals are friendly, healthy and highly adoptable and would make a wonderful addition to your family! Please visit our animals page to see the animals that are currently available for adoption at Virginia Beach Animal Control.

Mission Statement

Friends of Virginia Beach Animal Control is dedicated to ending
homeless companion animal overpopulation and euthanasia of healthy
adoptable, and treatable animals in Virginia Beach by teaming with
Virginia Beach Bureau of Animal Control and local area rescue groups
to find homes, provide medical care, promote spay/neuter, increase
adoptions, and support Virginia Beach Control staff in creating a healthy,
caring environment for the animals housed there.
